อังกอร์วัด อังกอร์ธม เป็นสถานที่คุ้มครองโดยองค์การ UNESCO ให้ถือเป็นเขตสงวน มหานครแห่งนี้เป็นที่นิยมชื่นชอบของนักท่องเที่ยวจากประเทศต่างๆ ซึ่งถ้ามาเที่ยวเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้จะต้องมาเที่ยวเยี่ยมชมคนรอังกอร์วัด นักประวัติศาสตร์ชาวอังกฤษ อาร์โนลด์ ทอยน์บี กล่าวไว้ว่า "See Angkor Wat and Die." อย่างนี้ท่านมีโอกาสมาถึงเอเซียใด้ในชีวิตสักครั้งไม่ควรพลาดต้องท่องเที่ยวเยี่ยมชม อังกอร์วัด ที่ยืนเด่นตระหง่านเป็นสิ่งมหัศจรรย์ของโลก
