Arowana ปลาอะโรวานา

     Africa is the continent at large, where the origin is the longest river in the world. Originating at Lake Victoria, which is the longest river called the Nile river. Here is the origin of fish species endemic to the famous fish,Nile perch, Arowana fish.

     Arowana or "Bonytongue fish" Thailand is known as a fish or freshwater fish that looks like a dragon motif , it is believed that the fish mascot . This species is in the family osteoglossidae consists of four fish genus and seven species , each type has a different origin for each continent.

Arowana Shape 

     Arowana, Body style fish with long flat sides. The punt was short, sharp and very wide fuselage near the beginning and end of the body. There are 3.5 to 4.8 times the body length , body width and 3.5-4 times the length of the head . Younger fish and after a short snout to the base of the tail , almost in a straight line.

     Fish Aromatic Nirvana species grow to about 1 meter in length weighing more than 7 kg live like mountain water that flows slowly . The water surface is rocky , sandy and muddy water is slightly acidic . Fish eggs and small fish 3-6 pounds is about 40 to 100 eggs, only eggs laid will hatch the eggs in the mouth and has a diameter of 1.72 cm is divided by continent are found four continents .

 ปลาอโรวานา

     ทวีปแอฟริกาเป็นทวีปที่มีขนาดใหญ่ซึงที่นี่เป็นที่กำเนิดแม่น้ำสายยาวที่สุดในโลก ที่มีต้นกำเนิดที่ทะเลสาบวิคตอเรียซึ่งแม่น้ำสายที่ยาวที่สุดเรียกว่าแม่น้ำไนล์ ที่นี่เป็นแหล่งกำเนิดพันธุ์ของสัตว์น้ำเฉพาะถิ่นที่มีชื่อเสียงอย่าง ปลากะพง (Nile perch) ปลาอโรวาน่า (Arowana)

     ปลาอโรวาน่า (Arowana) หรือ "Bonytongue fish" มีชื่อเรียกภาษาไทยว่า ปลามังกร หรือ ปลาตะพัด

มีลักษณะเด่นที่รูปร่างคล้ายมังกรจึงมีความเชื่อกันว่าเป็นปลานำโชค ปลาชนิดนี้จัดอยู่ในครอบครัวออสทีโอกลอสซิตี้ (Osteoglossidae) ประกอบด้วยปลา 4 สกุล (Genus) และ 7 ชนิด (Species) ซึ่งแต่ละชนิดมีถิ่นกำเนิดแตกต่างกันออกตามแต่ละทวีป

   ปลาอะโรวาน่า (Arowana) หรือ ปลามังกร เรียกอีกชื่อว่า ปลาตะพัดมีลักษณะลำตัวยาวแบนข้าง ส่วนท้องแบนมาก เป็นสันคม ความกว้างลำตัวบริเวณส่วนต้นและส่วนท้ายของลำตัว มีความยาวลำตัวเป็น 3.5-4.8 เท่าของความกว้างลำตัว และ 3.5-4 เท่าของความยาวส่วนหัว ปลาที่มีอายุน้อยบริเวณสันหลังจากจงอยปากไปจนถึงบริเวณโคนหางเกือบเป็นเส้น ตรง

   ปลาอโรวาน่า หรือ ปลาตะพัด โตเต็มที่มีความยาวประมาณ 1 เมตร น้ำหนักมากกว่า 7 กิโลกรัม ชอบอาศัยแหล่งน้ำบริเวณภูเขาที่มีน้ำไหลเอื่อยๆ ที่พื้นท้องน้ำเป็นหินปนทรายน้ำค่อนข้างขุ่นและเป็นกรดเล็กน้อย เป็นปลาที่มีไข่จำนวนน้อย ปลาขนาด 3-6 กิโลกรัม จะมีไข่ประมาณ 40-100 ฟองเท่านั้น เมื่อวางไข่แล้วจะฟักไข่ในปากขนาดไข่มีเส้นผ่าศูนย์กลาง 1.72 เซนติเมตร สามารถแบ่งตามทวีปที่พบได้ 4 ทวีป ดังนี้

     African Arowana มีเพียงชนิดเดียวอาศัยแพร่กระจายอย่างกว้างขวางจากตอนบนของ แม่น้ำไนล์ และแอฟริกาไปจนถึงฝั่งตะวันตก ขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดของปลาชนิดนี้ มีความยาวลำตัวถึง 1.20 เมตร ลำตัวค่อนข้างแบนและกว้าง(ท้องถึงสันหลัง)

    ปลาอะโรวาน่า แอฟริกา ในแม่น้ำไนล์จะมีจำนวนมากถือว่าเป็นแหล่งปลาที่มีจำนวนชุกชม ผู้ที่สนใจที่จะหานำมาเลี้ยงไว้เป็นปลาสวยงามสามารถที่จะจับปลาชนิดนี้ในแม่น้ำได้อย่างง่ายดาย รวมทั้งนำมาทำปรุงอาหาร ปลาเผา โดยการตกปลาหนือตาข่ายการดักปลา

      ปลาอโรวาน่า ถือว่าเป็นปลาสวยงามให้โชคแก่ผู้ครอบครอง ในตู้เลี้ยงปลาประจำบ้านจะเห็นปลาชนิดนี้บ่อยครั้งในหมู่คนที่ชื่นชอบเลี้ยงปลาสวยงาม หลายคนอยากได้โชคลาภหามาเลี้ยงประดับไว้ในบ้าน อย่างน้อยปลาอโรวาน่าชนิดนี้จะทำให้ท่านยินดีเพลิดเพลิน
